Humble Beginnings

Bishop Steven T. Kenan and Pastor Tamara N. Kenan have had a powerful and inspiring journey in ministry, dedicating their lives to spreading the word of God and empowering others. Here's a brief summary of their remarkable story:
Bishop Steven T. Kenan was born on July 30, 1980, in Wallace, NC. He is the Bishop and Founder of Chosen Generation Outreach Deliverance Center, which was established on September 3, 2007. The ministry began with a small group of five souls, but it has since grown into a thriving community that embraces the motto, "No Limits, No Boundaries." Bishop Kenan's journey in the church started at a young age, and by 20, he preached his first sermon. His rapid rise within the ministry led to his ordination as Youth Pastor and later Assistant Pastor. However, God called him to take a leap of faith and establish Chosen Generation Outreach Deliverance Center, where he could minister to others more fully.
In his personal life, Bishop Kenan married Tamara Nicole Pemberton on October 30, 2006, and they welcomed their first child, Israel Terrell Kenan, on June 26, 2008. Bishop Kenan pursued further education, receiving an associate degree in Biblical Studies in 2015. In 2019, he expanded his ministry by founding The Sound Cathedral of Chosen Ministries, under the leadership of Pastor Ronnie L. Walker. In March 2020, Bishop Kenan was confirmed as a Bishop. Additionally, in June 2022, he authored his first book, No 40 Year Journey, and was honored with the High Point Pillar of Fame award in September 2022.
Pastor Tamara N. Kenan was born on August 29, 1979, in High Point, NC. She rededicated her life to the Lord at the age of 19, quickly rising to leadership roles in the church. By 23, she was leading the Youth Department and also serving as Praise Team Leader, Armor-bearer, Finance Team member, and Nurse. She preached her first sermon during this period and has since developed her talents as a songwriter and praise dance instructor. Pastor Tamara served at Chosen Generation in many capacities, including becoming Co-Pastor and later Pastor. She has been instrumental in the ministry’s growth and success.
Together, Bishop and Pastor Tamara Kenan have dedicated their lives to winning souls for Christ, empowering believers, and giving youth a voice. Their passion for ministry and the work God has called them to do is evident in their continued growth and impact within the community.
