Humble Beginnings

Bishop Steven T. Kenan was born in Wallace, NC on July 30, 1980. Bishop Kenan is the Bishop & Founder of Chosen Generation Outreach Deliverance Center. The ministry was established on September 3, 2007, during this service 5 souls joined, and this was the birth of a “No Limits No Boundaries!” ministry.
Bishop Kenan was nurtured in the church by age 20 he expressed his 1st sermon and within a year was ordained Youth Pastor. God was using him in such a profound way that within a couple of years he was ordained Assistant Pastor. Although Assistant Pastor Kenan was thriving in the ministry the Lord began to call him out thus the birthing of Chosen Generation.
On October 30th, 2006, Bishop Kenan married Tamara Nicole Pemberton and on June 26th, 2008, they welcomed their first child Israel Terrell Kenan.
Lady Tamara N. Kenan was born in High Point NC on August 29, 1979. Lady Kenan rededicated her life to the Lord at 19. God was elevating her quickly and by age 23 she was over the Youth Department. She was the Praise Team Leader, Armor-bearer, on the Finance Team and a Nurse. During that year she expressed her 1st sermon. She is also a Song Writer, Praise Dance Instructor. Lady has gracefully used all of her many hats at Chosen Generation and went from Lady Kenan to Co-Pastor and now Pastor Kenan
Bishop and Pastor Tamara Kenan were thriving in ministry, showing the Grace of God to all they can. God was moving tremendously in their life as Bishop Kenan took on another task, and in 2015 he received an associate degree in Biblical Studies. In the year of our Lord 2019, Bishop Kenan birthed his first ministerial work from under the umbrella of Chosen. The Sound Cathedral of Chosen Ministries Inc.! Under the leadership and tutelage of Pastor Ronnie L. Walker. This move of God has brought on yet another elevation for Bishop Kenan.
Bishop Kenan was confirmed in the office of Bishop, March 21 of the year 2020 and in June 2022 Bishop wrote and published his first book No 40 Year Journey. Bishop Kenan is also one of three recipients of the High Point Pillar of Fame award for September of 2022. We as the body of Chosen Generation Outreach Deliverance Center Inc., are excited, elated, and proud, as we await with high expectation to witness the work that will be birthed through Bishop Steven T. Kenan and Pastor Tamara Kenan.
Bishop & Pastor Tamara Kenan main purpose is to win souls empower the body of Christ and give the youth a voice. Surely, they have been called for such a time as this!

Mission Statement

Our mission here at Chosen Generation is to be a church of love. We will show Gods unconditional love to all mankind. We will work together as a body in unity and strength, to bring hope, healing, deliverance, and reconciliation to those that are in need. We will be a church of praise and worship, and will deliver the unadulterated word of God. We have been chosen by God to show forth the praises of him that hath called us out of darkness into his marvelous light.
