A Timeline of Chosen Generation's Ministry:

2007: The Beginning

• September 2, 2007: The first service of Chosen Generation was held at Pastor Steven Terrell Kenan’s home at 1500 E Deep River Rd, High Point, NC. At this time, Pastor Kenan was 27 years old, and Lady Kenan was 28.

• The ministry worshipped in the house for a month, and in October 2007, the Lord blessed them with their first official church location at 304 Trindale Rd, Archdale, NC. The congregation grew and flourished, and by May 11, 2008, they moved to 2025 4D College Dr., High Point, NC, where Pastor Kenan preached "Our Steps Are Being Ordered by the Lord." That day, at least 30 people attended, and four young people joined the ministry.

• June 26, 2008: Pastor and Lady Kenan welcomed their first child, Israel Terrell Kenan, into the world, and he became a true joy to the ministry, with aspirations to one day become the next pastor of Chosen Generation.

2009–2012: Laying the Foundation

• The ministry continued to build a strong foundation, and in 2010, the theme was "The Year of Order."

• 2011 saw growth and soul-winning, while in 2012, the theme was the “3M’s” (Miraculous Manifestation for the Meek), and God moved miraculously in the church.

• On August 5, 2012, the ministry moved to 2440 Brentwood St, their current location. God also added to their ministerial staff with the ordination of Minister Sonya Wright on August 12, 2012.

2013–2016: Spiritual Growth and Soul-Winning

• 2013 was “The Year of Revealed Treasure,” and the church continued to thrive in their new location.

• 2014 marked a season of embracing grace, resulting in a tripling of soul-winning efforts and experiencing radical changes in lives through the finished work of the Cross.

• In 2015, the ministry deepened its study of the life of Jesus, and Pastor Kenan also earned his Associates degree in Biblical Studies.

• Between 2015 and 2016, the ministry saw over 100 individuals give their lives to Christ through the teaching of grace.

2017–2019: Unity and Expansion

• 2017 was “The Year of Amos 3:3: The Power of Agreement,” emphasizing the importance of unity and strength. That year, the church celebrated its 1st Deacon Ordination and 1st Clergy Ordination.

• 2019 was a year of birthing, with Sound Cathedral Ministries of Chosen Inc. being birthed from under the Chosen umbrella on February 3, 2019, under the leadership of Pastor Ronnie L. Walker. This expansion catapulted Pastor Kenan into the office of Bishop.

• March 21, 2020, Bishop Kenan was confirmed in the office of Bishop.

2020–Present: New Ministries and Continued Growth

• On September 6, 2020, Bishop Kenan birthed a second pastor under the Chosen umbrella—Pastor Loria Stevenson. This marks another step in the continued growth and elevation of the ministry.

• Bishop Kenan is committed to preaching the unadulterated Word of God, spreading God’s love, and fostering unity in the House of God.
