The first service was held on 09/02/2007 at Pastor Steven Terrell Kenan’s house at 1500 E Deep River Rd. High Point, NC. Pastor Kenan was 27 years old at the start of his Pastoral Ministry and Lady Kenan was 28.

We worshiped in the house for a month in October 2007, the Lord blessed Chosen with our 1st Official church location at 304 Trindale Rd. Archdale, NC. We worshiped in this place for seven months giving God all the praise and He blessed Chosen once again. We moved to High Point at 2025 4D College Dr. Our first service there was May 11th, 2008. Pastor Kenan preached “Our Steps are being ordered by the Lord” We had at least 30 people in attendance and 4 young people joined the ministry that day. We were growing and wining souls for the Kingdom of God! On June 26, 2008, another addition was added to the CG Family, Pastor & Lady Kenan’s 1st child Israel Terrell Kenan. He has become a true joy to the ministry and has his mind set on becoming the next Pastor of Chosen Generation!

In 2009 we continued to lay the foundation. In 2010 we had the “Year of Order”. In 2011 growth and winning souls. In 2012 the year of the “3M’s” (Miraculous Manifestation for the Meek) and God moved miraculously in that year. On August 5, 2012, we moved into our new location at 2440 Brentwood St where we currently reside. That year God added to our ministerial staff with our first Minister birthed out of Chosen, Minister Sonya Wright on August 12th, 2012.

In 2013 the word came “The Year of Revealed Treasure” and we continued to grow and flourish in our new location. In 2014 Pastor Kenan tapped into Grace which tripled our soul winning. Through the finished work of the Cross lives were being changed. People were experiencing the true love of God! A radical change had taken place! In 2015 we went deeper in the word studying the life of Jesus. That year Pastor Kenan received his Associates degree in Biblical Studies. 2015-2016 we experienced over 100 people giving their life to Christ! Through and by the teaching of grace.

2017 the year of Amos 3:3 The power of Agreement! For where there is Unity there is Strength! That year we had our 1st Deacon Ordination and our 1st Clergy Ordination. 2018 we continued to grow in God’s love and Pastor Kenan continued to lead the people through and by the word.

2019 was the year of birthing. On February 3, 2019, Pastor Kenan birthed his first ministry from under the Chosen umbrella, Sound Cathedral Ministries of Chosen Inc. under the leadership of Pastor Ronnie L Walker. This has catapulted Pastor into the office of Bishop. Bishop Kenan was confirmed in the office of Bishop, March 21 of the year 2020.

With that being said, on September 6, 2020, Bishop birthed out a 2nd Pastor under the Chosen Umbrella - Pastor Loria Stevenson, we are looking forward to what God is going to do in her ministry. This has been a long time coming and Thanking God for their elevation, commitment and dedication to serving God and His people.

Bishop Kenan is determined to preach the unadulterated word of God showing Gods love and bringing unity to the House of God. We know God truly has his hand on this ministry and we humbly submit to His will. To God be the Glory for all that He has done and continues to do! Big Things Poppin and Little Thing Droppin!
